This is a class 10, 16GB, micro SDHC card that has been pre-installed with the NOOBS (version 3.2.0) operating system for the Raspberry Pi produced in house here at SparkFun Electronics. This SD card is perfect for a Raspberry Pi first timer or beginner while still providing convenience for anyone with more experience with the platform. This little card allows you to start using your Raspberry Pi straight out of the box without worrying about imaging it on your own.

NOOBS is an easy operating system installer which contains Raspbian. It also provides a selection of alternative operating systems which are then downloaded from the internet and installed.

Note: This NOOBS image has not been tested with the Raspberry Pi 4 yet, which at minimum needs the Raspbian Buster (July 2019 release).

Skill Level: Competent - The toolchain for programming is a bit more complex and will examples may not be explicitly provided for you. You will be required to have a fundamental knowledge of programming and be required to provide your own code. You may need to modify existing libraries or code to work with your specific hardware. Sensor and hardware interfaces will be SPI or I2C.
