GNSS L1/L2 Multi-Band Magnetic Mount Antenna - 5m (SMA)

The ANN-MB-00 GNSS multiband antenna is extremely unique from other GNSS/GPS antennas in that it is designed to receive both the classic L1 and L2 GPS bands. Additionally, the ANN-MB-00 from u-blox is extremely well built with both a magnetic base with mounting holes for additional anchoring for the harshest environments.

Designed for the latest u-blox F9 platform--including the ZED-F9P module--it provides a fast, easy, and reliable multi-band antenna solution but can be used with any GPS/GNSS receiver that can benefit from the L1/L2 dual reception.

This antenna supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou and includes a high-performance multi-band RHCP dual-feed patch antenna element, a built-in high-gain LNA with SAW pre-filtering, and a 5m SMA cable.

Core Skill: Electrical Prototyping

If it requires power, you need to know how much, what all the pins do, and how to hook it up. You may need to reference datasheets, schematics, and know the ins and outs of electronics.

2 Electrical Prototyping

Skill Level: Rookie - You may be required to know a bit more about the component, such as orientation, or how to hook it up, in addition to power requirements. You will need to understand polarized components.

  • The u-blox data sheet for the MB is here: https://www.u-blox.com/en/ubx-viewer/view/ANN-MB1_ProductSummary_UBX-21000238

It says the frequency range is L1 and L2 (1197 - 1249 MH_, and does not include L5 ( 1176.45).

Your description says L1/L2/L5 and frequency range is 1197-1249MHz. But L5 is below that. Who is correct?

Is there a variant of this that has a shorter cable length ?

Is it OK to shorten the SMA cable by cutting and then soldering new connector?
