Artemis Got Talent

The Artemis Global Tracker is now fully supported + MicroMod gets a full blown GNSS board!

Favorited Favorite 1

We are back at it with more new products for the week and continue our geospatial theme this month by bringing the Artemis Global Tracker to a full production run and a suite of support. Oh, it's also in a vibrant, SparkFun red! If you have ever been intrigued to enter into the world of asset tracking via the Iridium satellite constellation, this is the exact board to get you started. Following that, we have a brand new GNSS Carrier Board for our MicroMod ecosystem that utilizes the ZED-F9P module from u-blox. Now, you'll be able to play with different processors to control one of the best L1/L2 band parts on the market to find the right one for you. We wrap up with a new GNSS antenna and USB Logic Analyzer. Let's jump in and take a closer look at the week's new products!

Transmissions from space highlights the showcase!

SparkFun Artemis Global Tracker

SparkFun Artemis Global Tracker

WRL-18712
$399.95

Could this be the one tracker to rule them all? Incorporating the Artemis Module, Iridium 9603N Short Burst Data modem, u-blox ZOE-M8Q GNSS receiver, and a TE MS8607 PHT sensor, this compact tracker allows you to do an incredible number of things that used to be very difficult. With a clear view of the sky, the SparkFun Artemis Global Tracker (AGT) allows you to send and receive short data messages. Leveraging the Iridium satellite network, it works anywhere in the world, including the polar regions, far beyond the reach of WiFi and GSM networks.

SparkFun MicroMod GNSS Carrier Board (ZED-F9P)

SparkFun MicroMod GNSS Carrier Board (ZED-F9P)

GPS-17722
$324.95

The SparkFun MicroMod GNSS Carrier Board raises the bar for high-precision GPS and is in a line of powerful RTK boards featuring the ZED-F9P module from u-blox. The ZED-F9P is a top-of-the-line module for high accuracy GNSS and GPS location solutions including RTK that is capable of 10mm, three-dimensional accuracy. With this board, you will be able to know where your (or any object's) X, Y, and Z location is, roughly within the width of your fingernail! The ZED-F9P is unique in that it is capable of both rover and base station operations. Utilizing the M.2 and Qwiic connectors, no soldering is required to connect it to the rest of your system. However, we still broke out 0.1"-spaced pins in case you prefer to use a breadboard to attach additional peripherals.

MagmaX2 Active Multiband GNSS Magnetic Mount Antenna - AA.200

MagmaX2 Active Multiband GNSS Magnetic Mount Antenna - AA.200

GPS-17108
$83.50

The Taoglas AA.200 MagmaX2 Multiband GNSS Magnetic Mount Antenna is for use across most major constellations including GPS (L1/L2/L5), GLONASS (G1/G2/G5), Galileo(E1/E5a/E5b) and BeiDou(B1/B2). The AA.200 antenna is an active multiband GNSS magnetic mount antenna that exhibits excellent gain and good radiation pattern stability. The combination of these elements help ensure the best possible positional accuracy for systems where RTK is enabled and disabled.

USB Logic Analyzer - 24MHz/8-Channel

USB Logic Analyzer - 24MHz/8-Channel

TOL-18627
$19.95
5

With the growing ubiquity of UART, I2C, and SPI sensors, logic analyzers are becoming something everyone needs in their toolbox or on their workbench. This 8-channel USB Logic Analyzer with support for sampling rates of up to 24MHz provides a good while economic option, making it a great tool for quickly diagnosing most communication issues we encounter.

That's it for this week. As always, we can't wait to see what you make. Shoot us a tweet @sparkfun, or let us know on Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn. Please be safe out there, be kind to one another, and we'll see you next week with even more new products!

Never miss a new product!
