Together with our partners, we've been developing a number of resources to support the XRP community. In this post, we will provide you instructions on how to make the XRP drive once you have built and tested your robot. Let’s get your XRP moving!

In this video Rob and Dryw show how to get your XRP moving using XRPCode. This is the recommended programming environment to use when programming your XRP. Blockly is demonstrated in this video, which is great for anyone new to programming, but they also show the Python code in case you’d like to program your XRP in that language. Follow the written version of the guide here

In case you haven’t built your XRP yet, here is the walkthrough guide to get started:

Assembling the XRP robot is easy, but be sure to follow the steps here to be sure that the wiring is correct and all the pieces are added correctly to the chassis. This step-by-step will get your robot assembled, tested, and ready to start programming! Follow the written version of the guide here.

We want to know what you create with your XRP! Rob used the lessons here to have the robot draw an infinity symbol, and Dryw took it a step further by drawing the SparkFun flame. What image can you program your XRP to create? Make sure to let us know on social media by tagging @sparkfun.

When will your kit arrive?
